A grocey shop has been opened at Palappetty Tribal colony for meeting their urgent house hold needs. Palappetty tribal people has to travel more than 8 kilometres to reach Kovilakkadavu to purchase groceries and meeting other needs. Opening a grocery for their colony was their dream. An abandoned camp shed of Kanthalloor Range has been transferred to Chinnar WLS and maintained well by the EDC, Palappetty. With the financial aid of AFDA, necessary items have been purchased to open the shop. Wildlife warden, Munnar WL inaugurated the shop on 09/01/17.
